Don't miss out on an incredible day with 5 different group rides for all ability levels followed up with food and drink!

Rides are self led, meaning there will be a group leader to help lead out each ride as well as a sweep to ensure no one gets left behind due to a mechanical. Some separation between the group may occur during the ride and you are responsible for familiarizing yourself with the trails.

Colorado Mountain Bike Association

COMBA got its start in 1991 when a group of mountain bikers decided to start repairing and improving the trails they rode nearly every day. From those simple roots COMBA has grown to provide a broad range of services touching all aspects of mountain biking, allowing them to support partner land managers in building world-class MTB experiences.

Their volunteers and trail crew build and improve trails in the Central Front Range and their certified instructors educate local mountain bikers to help them get the most from the sport.

COMBA is a non-profit organization funded solely by memberships and donations.
They work hard to maintain, improve and create great trails & riding experiences for everyone who enjoys our sport.

Trek Trails at Virginia Canyon

Virginia Canyon Mountain Park in Idaho Springs features a growing 28-mile trail system designed for mountain biking, with nearly 12 miles completed as of fall 2024 including purpose built downhill trails like Drop Shaft and Hopper, built for intermediate to expert riders and accessed via a nicely graded climbing trail. The park offers a mix of flow and technical riding.

The project, led by the Colorado Mountain Bike Association (COMBA) with support from the Trek Foundation and other partners, also includes plans for the Mighty Argo Cable Car—a 1.2-mile gondola providing lift access to the trail system, expected to open in spring 2026.

A big thank you to team at the Mighty Argo mine for allowing us to host this event on their property. Riders will access the trails and event venue from the ramp on the East side of the Argo property (see map below). Please be mindful that Argo tours may be occurring and be respectful of any other users in the area.

Since 1994 Tommyknocker has brewed quality Colorado craft beer at the gateway of the Rockies, in the historic mining town of Idaho Springs.

They will be on-site at the event venue, providing awesome food and pouring cold beers.

Women's ride presented by the Donut Squad!

A community built by a group of local 'sladyies' who met through mountain bike amateur enduro racing and a love for a really good times on bikes.

They shared a collective passion for playing bikes, tackling new challenges, and meeting new, interesting humans and yet felt something was missing-an inclusive and easily accessible community for all.

Thus, Donut Squad was born. A community built to create inclusive spaces that welcome all humans (specifically women-identifying and non-binary riders) interested in riding bikes, new adventures, giving back to their community and creating new connections

Parking Information

Please note that parking is very limited at the trailhead venue.

Please do not park on Riverside Drive. Riverside Drive is a no-parking zone and vehicles will be ticketed or towed.

Please use mapping software to route to one of the following locations:

-Colorado Boulevard between 23rd Avenue and Exit 239.
-Shelly/Quinn Ballfields Park (101 E. Idaho Springs Road)
-Any paid parking lot in downtown Idaho Springs (Park Idaho Springs - Idaho Springs Parking)
-Public lot south of Exit 240, along Highway 103

For those parking in public lots near downtown Idaho Springs, consider hopping on the Clear Creek Greenway Trail that runs along Clear Creek through the City. If parking at the public lot at Exit 240, you can access the Greenway from the parking lot and take it to the trailhead in less than one mile. The Greenway Trail is shown on most mapping services, including the Colorado Trail Explorer.

There will be parking attendants at the venue during the event to help direct you to parking!
